Explain the difference between did, had, & was with examples, plz?

“Did” is the past simple tense of the verb “do” while “had” is the past participle tense of the verb “have.” 2.“Did” is used to refer to something that has already been performed while “had” is used to refer to something that one possessed.Were” is the past tense of “are.” For example, “we are going to the zoo” becomes “we were going to the zoo.” Notice that the word “are” is basically the plural form of “am.” ... “Did” is the past tense of “do.”
