The main difference between Speculative history and Factual history is that speculative history is based on guesses and factual history is backed by facts and proofs.
Speculative & Factual History -
- Factual history will be backed up by videos and proofs or documentaries and is universally accepted to be true. Whereas, speculative history is mainly involved with guesses about what would have happened.
- Speculative history uses counterfactual speculation of events and reflects it in the present time. This type of research is not 100% true and cannot be up to the facts.
- Factual history is often the reality of what could have happened in the past.
