Explain the difference between objects that are sources of light and objects that reflect light.

Reflected light does not create its own light. Light from another source bounces off of objects, which is how we see it. Generally speaking, if the object is not safe to look at, it is emitting light, like the sun or a light bulb filament.

A light source is anything that makes light. There are natural and artificial light sources. A few examples of natural light sources include the Sun, stars and candles. A few examples of artificial light sources include light bulbs, lamp posts and televisions.

While as, the objects which do not give light of their own but reflect the light coming from the source of light are called reflective objects. For Example, Moon doesn't produce its own light. Moonlight is actually sunlight that shines on the moon and bounces off. The light reflects off old volcanoes, craters, and lava flows on the moon's surface.
