taps root is a large central diamond root from which other roots sprout laterally.Tap root is straight nd vertically thick.it tapers in shape and grows gradually down wards. incase of fibrus roots these are formed by thin and moderately branching roots growing from the stem.Its grows dont have perticular downward direction. Its not straight.
