give an example.

A molecule is made up of atoms bonded together. So, while an atom is its own separate entity, a molecule is what you get when those atoms bond together. These might be the same elements, such as two oxygen atoms bonded together (O2), or it might be different atoms bonded together like water (H2O).

Answer:

Yeah sure, to put it very simply in primary school levels, an "Atom" is a very simple, small unit. Any and everything that are physical materials are built up using atoms. For example, Oxygen is an atom. (O in elemental standard symbols). But this is not what is in common occassions like air. When 2 of these atoms combine, it creates a molecule (O2-symbolic form). THAT is what helps us breathe and is in air.

So, an atom is the smaller unit, while molecules are built up by combination of two or more atoms together.

More examples- 1 Carbon atom + 2 oxygen atoms = 1 carbondioxide molecule

                           1 sulphur atom + 2 oxygen atoms = 1 sulphurdioxide molecule

                           2 hydrogen atom + 1 oxygen atom = 1 water molecule (H2O)

So, when an atom is created, basically the same element's atoms can combine, or different elements can combine to create a whole new molecule

You will learn it in more advance in the future, but for now, just knowing the part I have bolded out would be enough (at least according to my country standards), hope it helped!
