blind spot :-The point where the retina and the optical nerve meet each other is devoid of any sensory cells. Hence, vision is not possible from this point. This point is known as the blind spot.

fovea :-The yellow spot is a small depression forming a shallow pit in the retina at the back of each eye in the human body. It is slightly yellow in appearance and so was first called the "Yellow Spot" .The term "yellow spot" is another word for macula lutea or fovea: Different terms are used in different texts but the meaning is the same. Because it contains a large number of the light-sensitive photo-detector cells called cones, the yellow spot ("macula lutea", or "fovea") is the area of greatest acuity of vision.
This means that when an eye is directed at an object, the part of the image of that object formed on the retina that falls onto the fovea is the part of the image that will be perceived in the greatest detail.

Differences of blind spot and fovea are :

Blind Spot

1. The location of this structure is a bit away from fovea.

2. This place has no pigment.

3. This spot is the place where optic nerve gets started.

4. It does not consist depression.

5. There are no eye coats at this place.

6. At this place, no formation of image occurs.

Fovea

1. This is located on the opposite side of the cornea.

2. This place consists pigment which is yellow.

3. There are no any nerves that starts from this place.

4. It consists of a depression which is very shallow.
