✔ Weathering is the process of breaking of  rocks, soils and their minerals by getting directly exposed to the earth's atmosphere.

✔ Erosion is  the process of removal of soil, mud, rock and other particles  mainly  by the agents of currents such as, wind, water, or ice, storm, rain etc.

The primary difference between weathering and erosion is that weathering occur in place whereas erosion involves movement to a new location. Both are caused by similar factor of wind, water, ice, temperture and even biological action. They also occur together.
