Diamond is made by strong forces of carbon

Graphite can be broken easily than diamond

diamond is shiny and reflect light

graphite isn't shiny and doesn't reflect light

Diamond is mostly used in jewelry

Graphite is mostly used in pencil

Hey mate here is your answer . . . .

Diamond and graphite both are made up of carbon but diamond is very strong due to the arrangement of it's molecules whereas in the case of graphite, it is not as strong as diamond as it's layers can slip over each other it is due to this reason that we are able to write with our pencil because it's lead is made up of graphite instead of diamond.
