These are different classifications on the chances that the species can become extinct. Vulnerable means that the species is vulnerable to become an endangered species but there is more people can do to prevent it from getting to endangered. Endangered is the stage before critically endangered ( then the extinct). When an animal in endangered that means that the species will not survive if serious laws are not put into effect. The difference being that a vulnerable animal will have a few laws and a few breeding programs but an endangered animal is covered by serious laws, has land put aside to relocate more of its species, and has huge breeding programs

Extinct species are those which are no longer avilable where as endangered species are those which are nearly to extinct i. e they are still avilable but can soon come to an end.
