Hi.
Ur answr is here....
Monocots Vs Dicots :-
The main difference between them can be got by their prefix ....
In monocots, mono shows that there is only one cotyledon whereas in Dicots, the prefix di shows that there are two cotyledons.
But there are other differences in different parts of plant too.....
Seeds - The seeds of monocots contain single cotyledon whereas the seeds of Dicots contain Teri cotyledons.
Cotyledons are actually that part which becomes seed after germination. So. in monocots u can see only one leaf just after the germination but in Dicots you can see two leaves. As they are half part of a single seed.
Stems - Monocots are usually herbiciuos and they have green leaves. while the Dicots are both herbiciuos and woody but most of Dicots are woody.
Roots - In Monocots, there is no primary root.
In the starting, it has but after sometime it gets replaced by a cluster of other roots. So we can't distinguish primary root from adventitious roots whereas in Dicots the primary rides becomes the most prominent root of the plant.
The root of Monocots is known as fibrous roots while the roots of Dicots are called as Tap root.
Leaf Venation - Monocots possess parallel Venation whereas Dicots possess reticulate Venation.
These are the points of difference....
Hope it helps u

Within the seed lies the plant's embryo. Whereas monocots have one cotyledon (vein), dicots have two. This small difference at the very start of the plant's life cycle leads each plant to develop vast differences. Once the embryo begins to grow its roots, another structural difference occurs.
