Explanation:

The different conditions needed for chemical change to take place are:

1. Surface area : The rate of chemical reaction will be low if surface area of the reactants is less and it will be fast if the surface area is more.

When large sized granulated zinc is treated with dil. HCL , they react to form hydrogen gas and zinc chloride.

Zn + 2HCL ----> ZnCl2 + H2

2. Catalyst : It change the speed of chemical reaction without undergoing any changes.

2KClO3 --------> 2KCl + 3O2
