Explain the different methods of heterotrophic nutrition in plants with the help of examples.

The different methods of heterotrophic nutrition in plants are as followed :

1. Saprophytic mode of nutrition -
When the organisms obtained there food from dead and decay organisms .

Eg. mushrooms .

2. Parasitic mode of nutrition -

When the organisms suck the blood (as food) for there growth .

Eg. - leech.

Hetrotrophic nutrition :- organisms that cannot be synthesis their own food are called heterotrophs and process of nutrition are called heterotrophic nutrition .
types of hetrotrophic Nutrition

1)- Holozoic hetrotrophic nutrition :- the organism obtain energy by oxidizing pre-existing organic component of either plants or animals is called holozoic nutrition.
Example :- cow ,buffalo, man etc.

2)- Saprophytic heterotrophic nutrition :- organism which feed upon dissolve decaying organic material from their environment is called saprophytes and the mode of nutrition is called saprophytic nutrition .
Example :- fungi ,bacteria, Amoeba etc.

3)- Parasitic heterotrophic nutrition :- organism which feed on other living organism are called parasite and take their food and shelter and get energy process is known as parasitic nutrition .
Example :- mosquito, tape worm, liver fluke etc.

4)- Symbiotic heterotrophic nutrition :- when two organism live together and beneficial for one and other organisms are called symbionts and the process of nutrition is called symbiotic nutrition .
Example :- Rhizobium
