There are 5 different type of atmosphere -:

1) Troposphere - this is the layer closest to the surface of earth . It extends approximately to a height of 8 km . Dust particles ,water vapour ,and impurities. All elements such as cloud ,thunder ,frost are seen in this layer.

Stratosphere - this layer lies below Troposphere. Its height is 50 km above the surface of earth . Aircrafts fly in this layer .

Mesosphere - It lies below stratosphere. Its height is 80 km from the surface of the earth . This is the coldest layer in the atmosphere . In this layer only the meteors get burned .

Exosphere - This layer exceeds the height of 1,600 km from the surface of the earth. Very light gases like hydrogen and helium are present in this layer . This layer merges with outer space .
