1. The movement of gas from one place to other is known as diffusion.
2. Diffusion is possible only when particles of matter move continuously.
3. Particles of solids, liquid and gases can diffuse into to liquids and gases
4. The rate of diffusion of gases is higher than the liquids due to the higher speed of gas particles and due to greater space between them.
5. The rate of diffusion of liquids is greater than solids because particles in liquids move freely and have greater space between them when compared to particles of solids.
