the partially digested food from the stomach enters the small intestine small intestine has three parts ileum jejunum and duodenum the walls of the small intestine are covered with the finger like projections called villi with holes on the centre these holes are directly connected to the blood capillaries the digested food enters the blood capillaries from the villi and transported to each and every part of the body
