first of all, Let see formula of thermal expansion. 

from linear thermal expansion, 

L=L_0(1+\alpha\Delta{T})L=L0(1+αΔT) 

where L_0L0 is initial length of metal wire, L is the length of wire after changing in temperature of surrounding of wire. 

∆T is change in temperature and \alphaα is coefficient of thermal expansion.

\alpha=\frac{L-L_0}{L_0\Delta{T}}α=L0ΔTL−L0 

so, dimension of \alphaα =dimension of (L-L_0L0/(dimension of L_0L0 × dimension of ∆T)

= [L]/([L] × [K])

= [K^-1] 

hence , dimension of coefficient of thermal expansion is [K^{-1}][K−1] .
