Dimensional equation is obtained by equating physical quantity with it's dimensional formula.

A given physical relation is dimensionally correct when the dimension various terms are same on the either side.

Dimensional formula is commonly written in the form of MLT.

For example - Length - M°LT°
Area - M°L^2T°
Force - M°LT^-2
Momentum - MLT^-1
Volume - M°L^3T°
