Non farming activities in rural areas are Dairy production , Poultry Farming , Small Scale trades , Small Marketing activities and Transport. The people engaged in these activities are limited. Almost 85% of the total population in rural areas practise agriculture. These non farming activities should be encouraged. Government should provide some capital to the people for setting markets and dairy. Several schemes and consetions should be provided. Engaging Workshops should be conducted for making aware the people about these non farming activities.

"The activities which are not related to farming are called as nonfarm activities.

In rural areas, activities such as home-based manufacturing process, tractor driving, mining, dairy farming, etc. Both the gender male and female are involved in nonfarm activities.

For example, males are involved in work which needs a lot of physical effort such as mining, construction, etc.

On the other hand, females are engaged in activity such as packing, transportation, manufacturing home based eatables such as pickles, pappads, etc."
