Following are the diverse region of northern plain.
1.Northern plain spreads over the area of 7lakh
m Sq km .it's length is 2400 Sq km,its breadth spread from 240km to 320km.
2.it is densely populated.
3.it has a continuous flow of three major river that are - Ganga, Brahamaputra, Indus along with their tributaries.
4.it is rich in alluvial soil.
5.it is divided into four region due to its relief features that is Bhangar,Khadar, Bhadar, Terai.
6. The western part of the Northern plain is known as Punjab plains.
