Explain the drawbacks of the constitution of France in 1791.

1) The constitution of 1791 granted the power to constitute laws in the national assembly which was indirectly elected.
2) That is citizens elected a group of electors who in turn select this assembly .
3) However all citizens were not given voting rights.
4 ) Only men who were above 25 years of age and who paid taxes equal to 3 days of a labourer wages were given the position of active citizens that means only they were given the voting rights.
5)The remaining men and women were grouped as passive citizens.
