light posses dual nature e.g., wave and particle. when it shows the characters like inference of two monochromatic lights , diffraction etc.. we say , light is a wave . another time when it shows characters like photoelectric effects , Enstein relativity theory , splitting of light into colors. we say, light is a particle.
hence, light shows dual that's why De- Broglie explain his experiment by using both Enstein relativity theory and photon theory.
the Morden concept is that light is an electromagnetic wave. in which two wave perpendicular to each , electric waves are perpendicular upon magnetic waves. this concepts explain whole concepts better than previously . by the way this concepts is given by Maxwell , and it is known as Maxwell electromagnetic wave.

Answer:
The Dual Nature of Light
Sometimes it behaves like a particle (called a photon), which explains how light travels in straight lines.
Sometimes it behaves like a wave, which explains how light bends (or diffracts) around an object
