the effective resistance of a series network is the sum of the individual resistances and the value is higher than each individual resistance.
Reff = R1+R2+R3+..........
the effective resistance of a parallel network is
Reff = 1/R1 + 1/R2 + 1/R3 +.......
THE effective resistance of a parallel network is always lower than each individual resistance
