Toxic to human health

Explanation:

Plastics are improved by adding many different chemicals to prevent its degradation when it is exposed to light, moisture content, temperature or microorganisms like bacteria or fungus present in the environment that makes  less flexible, less flammable or to give color.

Some chemicals are not bound to the chemical chain of the plastic, that means under a slight amount of change in temperature or light they can migrate or evaporate in the air that are toxic to human health when inhaled and it also harm the skin as well. Also they are able to leach into drinks and food that are taken by humans and hence effecting in this way also.

Some of the common practices that allow chemicals to migrate from plastic to easily to human body are -

Disposable cups used to drink hot coffee

Plastic trash when burned and inhaled

Reuse of plastic water  bottle

Microwaved food in aplastic container

Release of a strong odor while opening any new plastic item

Plastic has many forms but there it is in one hand a useful material, while on the other it has a serious and harmful impact on human health.
