Hey there !
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-->Energy transformations taking place in a hydel power station can be used to prove the Law of Conservation of Energy.
-->Law of conservation of energy states that energy can neither be created nor be destroyed.It can be transformed from one form to another form and can be transferred from one body to another body.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

***Energy transformations taking place in a hydel power station :

=>As the reservoir is at a height , the water inside it possess Potential energy.

=>This potential energy converts to Kinetic energy as the water is forced to move through the turbine

=>The blades present in the turbine possess mechanical energy {
mechanical energy = Kinetic energy + potential energy }

=>The turbine generator converts this mechanical energy to electrical energy.

Thus , the energy
transformations taking place in a hydel power station :

Potential energy = > Kinetic energy = > Mechanical energy = > Electrical energy

Hope this helps you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi friend ,
Steps of energy transformation in hydel power are:
1. potential energy to kinetic energy. As when the water is stored at height it gains potential energy and then when it starts to move it gains kinetic energy.
2. Kinetic energy to mechanical energy.
3. Mechanical energy to electrical energy. As when this water is processed it converts electricity.
