Media reports on COVID-19 is reflecting a democratic society.

In a democratic society, people have the right to be informed and right to know what is happening around them. On the other side, government is responsible for delivering the information to the people through media outlets and media has the right to inform to the people.

In the case of COVID-19, the pandemic that is spreading across nations, people are keen to hear any information about it. The Important thing about information is, which should be trusted.

Comparing Indian constitution with North Korean, media reports on COVID-19 is definitely reflecting a democratic society. People are fed with information about the pandemic every minuted through media outlets in the country is the best example for it.

Media reporting on Covid-19 majorly reflects a democratic society.

  • The media had played a very important role during the middle of the pandemic when the cases were at their peak.
  • Every member living in a democratic society has an equal right to get correct information about the situation going on in their surrounding.
  • The media took this challenging task by risking their lives to gather the correct and accurate information and bring it to our notice.
  • Misinformation spread by a few people can create a tense situation among people which would directly affect the political party/government ruling the country.
  • The media has the potential to terminate such misinformation/rumors.
