The rate of evaporation is affected by,

(1) Temperature: Evaporation increases with an increase in temperature.

(2) Surface Area: Evaporation increases with an increase in surface area.

(3) Humidity: Evaporation decreases with an increase in humidity.

(4) Wind speed: Evaporation increases with wind speed.

Temperature, wind speed, surface area,humidity

Explanation:

Temperature - with increase of temperature the particles with larger kinetic energy increases, therefore rate of evaporation also increases

Wind speed- the rate of evaporation increases with increasing speed of wind

Surface area- the escape of particle from liquid state to vapour depends on surface area .

Humidity- at a given temperature air cannot hold more than a fixed amount of water vapour ,therefore the rate of evaporation decreases with increases in humidity
