There are many different factors which are influencing the strength of concrete.

Mainly dependent on the Quality of Raw Materials,like

1.cement which should be suitable for use in concrete

2. Quality of aggregates,the size of aggregates , shape , texture, determines the strength of concrete

3. There is an important role of water also.

•Water/cement ratio

The relationship between water and cement ratio and strength of concrete is shown in figure which is given below. •coarse/fine aggregate ratio

From here we can know that when vthe proportion of fines is increased ,the overall aggregates surface area will increase and when the surface area is increased,the water cement ratio will increase
