The napoleonic code of conduct was passed on 1804 this introduced many reforms that napoleon has already introduced in France . through the return of monarchy he had destroyed the democracy in France but in the administrative field he had incorporated revolutionary principles to make the whole system more rational and efficient . This law did away with all privileges based on birth established equality before the law and secured the right to property . This code was even exported to regions under french control . napoleon simplified the administrative divisions abolished the feudal system and freed the peasants from manorial dues and serfdom . The guild restrictions were removed. and uniform laws were introduced
