The port of India is controlled by the Central Govt. under the ambit of Port Trust Act, 1963. There are 6 major ports situated at west coast of India, they are, Mumbai (Maharashtra), Kochi (Kerala), Kandla Port (Gujarat), Murmagoa, New Mangalore (Karnataka), and Navasheva (Jawaharlal Nehru Port).
