The trees of Mediterranean region are of moderate height with few branches but evergreen due to moderate rainfall. Fir, Oak, Olive, etc are the main species of trees found here.

The trees have hard wood, long and wide spread roots to absorb the underground water, thick and spongy barks to reduce the loss of moisture by transpiration during hot and dry summer.

Varieties of citrus fruits like lemon, orange peaches, plums, cherries, grapes, etc along with unique species of flowers are found in Mediterranean region.
