1. Antacid is taken in case of acidity because antacid constitutes of base and we know when bases react with acid it nuetralised and form salt and water and shoo off the acidity of stomach
2.Same goes with second case if there is large amount of acid waste then it can pollute rivers and slaked lime is base and it nuetralise the acid
