Explain the following:-
1. Defoestation
2. Soil erosion
3. Low level of ground water
4. Depletion of Ozone layer
5. Air pollution
6. Water pollution
Answers
Deforestation:-
Deforestation is the cutting down of forests/plantation in order for settlements, agricultural land etc. This affects the wildlife as many animals lose their homes and due to this many species of different animals have been extinct.
Soil erosion:-
Soil erosion is defined as the blowing away of the top layer of soil by the action of wind and water. This causes a great deal of problem for farmers as the top soil layer is the most fertile and contains a vast number of nutrients.
Low level of ground water:-
Groundwater is basically the water found under the surface of the Earth/land. It is stored and moves very slowly by the water, rocks and wind and this is known as aquifers.
Depletion of ozone layer:-
Ozone layer is being affected and there are many big holes in it because of pollution and CFC gases ( which are found in deodorants ). If ozone layers gets destroyed it will not block the harmful which will affect the survival of humans, plants and animals on Earth.
Air pollution:-
Air pollution is the pollution caused by smoke in the air. This is basically caused by vehicles and creates holes in the Ozone layer. This can cause respiratory problems.
Water pollution:-
Water pollution is caused when humans dirty the seas, lakes or other water bodies by throwing garbage in it or other things. This affects the marine life and most species of fishes are have been extinct due to Water pollution.
