1. Lightning is the flow of electrons between one cloud and other cloud or between one cloud and earth.
Charges accumulated in a cloud..negative charges accumulated at Base and positive charges above .
When clouds move , and the amount of charges is high , then an electron discharge takes place either between 2 cloud or cloud and earth. this is seen as lightning
2.Earthing is a process in which charge is made to flow through a body to the earth.
This is used in lightning conductors to prevent us from shocks.
