- Automobile tyres are provided with rough surfaces so that the frictional force between the tyre and the road surface increases. A rough tyre will have better grip on the road surface than a smooth tyre.
- By shuffling shoes with resin, the bottom surface of the shoes becomes rough so that the frictional force increases. Due to increase in friction between shoes and ground, the badminton player gets more grip on the ground so that he won't slip easily and gets stability
- Hovercraft use blowers to produce a large volume of air below the hull, or air cushion, that is slightly above atmospheric pressure. The pressure difference between the higher pressure air below the hull and lower pressure ambient air above it produces lift, which causes the hull to float above the running surface. For stability reasons, the air is typically blown through slots or holes around the outside of a disk- or oval-shaped platform, giving most hovercraft a characteristic rounded-rectangle shape
- In simple words, the surface of conveyor belt is made rough to increase the friction between the belt and the materials to be carried so that the materials do not slip or fall down from the belt. "The surface of the conveyor belt is made rough to increase the friction between object and belt

Answer:Photosynthesis is a process used by plants and other organisms to convert light energy into chemical energy that, through cellular respiration, can later be released to fuel the organism's metabolic activities. This chemical energy is stored in carbohydrate molecules, such as sugars and starches, which are synthesized from carbon dioxide and water – hence the name photosynthesis
