I.) In case of cutting, you cut a small piece of the vegetatitvely propagative part of a plant and bury it under moist soil, letting it give rise to a new plant.
II.) In case of layering, you bend a branch of the plant and bury it into the ground, leaving the tip exposed.
III.) In case of grafting, you cut a desirable shoot(scion) of one plant and attach it to your desirable root(stock) in such a way that the two join and give rise to a new plant. It should be taken into consideration that the stock and scion are cut in a slanting manner and the grad is covered with a polythene sheet so as to prevent infection via bacteria, virus, etc.
