( a ) Series arrangements are not used for domestic circuit because
The electrical applications need current divider different values to operate properties .
In series arrangement will one components fails , the circuit is broken and none of the components works .
All electrical applications work at a constant voltage .But in series circuit the current is constant throughout the electric circuit and potential different is different across the different component .So series arrangement is not suitable for domestic currents.
( b) Resistance of a conductor decrease when its area of cross-section is increased vise versa when resistance of a conductor increased the area of cross section decreased.
