RTI stands for Right to Information. This act was passed by the parliament on 15th of June, 2005 and came into force on 12 October 2005. This act was passed to provide secure access to information by the citizens under the control of public authorities. It helps to promote transperancy in the working of the government.

Right to information

1)in order to bring transparency in the administration and make it accountable, Indian citizen are given Right to Information.

2) Right to Information helped in promoting harmony between Government and people and empowered the citizens.
