Answer:

a)A saturated solution is a chemical solution containing the maximum concentration of a solute dissolved in the solvent. The additional solute will not dissolve in a saturated solution.

b)A chemical substance is a form of matter having constant chemical composition and characteristic properties. A chemical substance cannot be separated into its constituent elements by physical separation methods, i.e., without breaking chemical bonds.

ç)A colloid is a substance microscopically dispersed evenly throughout another substance. The dispersed-phase particles have a diameter between about 5 and 200 nanometers. Examples: Milk is an emulsion, which is a colloid in which both parties are liquids.

d)suspension is a heterogeneous mixture in which the solute particles do not dissolve, but get suspended throughout the bulk of the solvent, left floating around freely in the medium.

Saturated Solution :

The Solution in which no more solute can be dissolved in the same amount of solvent at a particular temperature is called saturated solution.

Pure Substance :

The substance which always has the same characteristic at a given temperature and pressure is called Pure Substance.

Colloid :

Colloid consists of particles bigger than that of solution, smaller than that of suspension. It appears to be homogeneous but actually it is heterogeneous.

Suspension :

It consist of particles which are larger in size and are visible with naked eyes. It is heterogeneous.
