Explain the following giving examples .
Saturated solution
Pure substance
Colloid
Suspension
Answers
Answer:
1 Saturated Solution.
At any particular temperature a solution that has dissolve as much solute as it is capable of dissolving is said to be a saturated solution.
______________________________
2 Pure substance
The substance which are made of one type of particles are called pure substance.
Example :- Copper, gold, carbon, oxygen, ammonium chloride, copper sulphate.
______________________________
3 Colloid
The heterogeneous solution in which the particles of solute so small that cannot colloid.
Example :- Milk, paneer, jelly, butter, smoke, air, etc.
______________________________
4 Suspension
The heterogeneous in which the particles of solute can easily be seen naked eyes are called suspension.
Example :- Solution of chalk, muddy water, etc.

Answer :-

Saturated Solution :
The Solution in which no more solute can be dissolved in the same amount of solvent at a particular temperature is called saturated solution.
E.g., if if we dissolve 21 gram of KNO₃ at 283 K, we will get saturated solution.
_______________________________
Pure Substance :
The substance which always has the same characteristic at a given temperature and pressure is called Pure Substance.
E.g., distilled water.

Colloid :
Colloid consists of particles bigger than that of solution, smaller than that of suspension. It appears to be homogeneous but actually it is heterogeneous.
E.g., milk.
_______________________________
Suspension :
It consist of particles which are larger in size and are visible with naked eyes. It is heterogeneous.
E.g., chalk powder in water is a suspension.
