Explain the following:
(i) Copper and Aluminum wires are employed for electricity
transmission.
(ii) Heating devices are made of an alloy rather than a pure metal.
(iii) Tungsten is used for filament of electric lamp.

(i). Cu and Al are used for electrical wires as they are good conductor of electricity and are cheaply available, other than Ag.

(ii).alloy increase the capability of material,as they can hold longer than a single element/metal. like steel

(iii). W is a element with a very high melting point,(3560°C)

thus it is used for filament.
