i. Essential Fatty Acids:
These are the fatty acids which cannot be produced in the body so they are transfer to body through their diet. Eg- Linoleic acid, Arachidonic acid etc.
ii. Mycotoxins:
It is toxic secondary metabolites which are produced by the fungus. It occurs naturally and can grow on crops and different kind of foods. It causes a serious disease in human.
iii. Adulteration:
It is a process of making food of poor quality and it is done by the addition of different substance in the food. Eg- Milk which is mixed with water and it is most common in India.
iv. Xerophthalmia:
It is a disease of eyes where eyes don’t produce tears. It is caused by the deficiency of vitamin A.
v. Rickets:
This disease is found in children due to the lack of vitamin D. Bones become weak and soft in the children.
