Explain the following process/events.

1. Put two to three iron nails in the blue solution of copper sulphate and after 15 to 20
minutes the colour of the solution turns green.

2. Give the basic difference between weather and climate.

3. The red litmus paper turns blue when it is dipped into the solution of magnesium oxide
with water.​

1) When iron nail is dipped in copper sulphate solution, a brown coating of copper is formed on the surface of iron and the colour of copper sulphate solution changes from blue to light green.

2) weather refers to short-term changes in the atmosphere, climate describes what the weather is like over a long period of time in a specific area.

3) Magnesium forms magnesium oxide on burning in presence of air. It is a combination reaction between two elements. Magnesium oxide is basic in nature and thus its aqueous solution turns red litmus blue.
