1. If you evaluate the ratio of current density of a material to the electric field that has caused the electric current then you can find out the conductivity of that material. In general terms conductivity is nothing but the decree of the conduction of electricity by the material.

2. Reducing power is the measure of capability of the compounds for donating hydrogen atoms for example the reduction of the compound NADH nicotinamide adenine dihydrogen.

3. Tendency to form monovalent cations means the compounds will be losing electrons in order to attain a stable electronic configuration that is the outermost shell will be completely filled and it will not be reactive anymore.

4. Solubility of water means what amount of solvent is required to dissolve a particular quantity of solute in it. It is also the measure of saturation.

Thank you for your question.

Alkali metals are in the first group of the periodic table. Now, the explanation of their properties:

1. Conductivity:
They are good electrical and heat conductors because of their bonding structure. They are closely held and packed together. The atoms in bonds held together upon heating pass on heat from one end to the other.
As these metals have one electron freely moving in their outermost shell, ready to react, they can conduct electricity because of that. Because they have the tendency to lose this electron, they show good conductivity in electricity.
2. Reducing power:
The reducing character increases down the group. The ionization energy of losing one valence electron decreases down the group. These metals quickly lose their one valence electron upon exposure.
3. Monovalent Bond:
Monovalent Bond is a bond made by one electron and forming one covalent bond by it. They lose their outer electron and make a stable covalent bond.
4, Solubility of water:
They react vigorously with the water to form halides. Some of them explodes on just contact with the water. They should be handled with great care while reacting with water. The greatly soluble in water.
