Ans: When quick lime reacts with water it will form slaked lime ( calcium hydroxide) and heat. 

CaO + H2O -----> Ca (OH)2

Ca + H²O = Ca0 + H² is liberated.


In this solution when calcium is combined with water it forms calcium oxide and hydrogen gas is liberated.
