Answer:

Insolation is the incident solar radiation onto some object. Specifically, it is a measure of the solar energy that is incident on a specified area over a set period of time. Generally insolation is expressed two ways.

The tropics are the region of the Earth surrounding the Equator. They are delimited in latitude by the Tropic of Cancer in the Northern Hemisphere at 23°26′12.3″ N and the Tropic of Capricorn in the Southern Hemisphere at 23°26′12.3″ S; these latitudes correspond to the axial tilt of the Earth.

The lapse rate of nonrising air—commonly referred to as the normal, or environmental, lapse rate—is highly variable, being affected by radiation, convection, and condensation; it averages about 6.5 °C per kilometre (18.8 °F per mile) in the lower atmosphere (troposphere).

In meteorology, an inversion, also known as a temperature inversion, is a deviation from the normal change of an atmospheric property with altitude. It almost always refers to an inversion of the thermal lapse rate. Normally, air temperature decreases with an increase in altitude.

Answer:

Explain the following term

Insolation: It is the solar radiation that reaches the Earth’s surface and is measured by the amount of solar energy received per square centimeter per minute.

2) Inversion of temperature: It is a reversal of the normal behavior of temperature in the troposphere, in which a layer of cool air at the surface is overlain by a layer of warmer air.

3) Anemometer: It is also called wind gauge which is an instrument for recording the speed and direction of winds.

4) Roaring forties: It is the area between latitudes 40⁰ and 50⁰ south in the Southern Hemisphere, where the prevailing winds blow persistently from the west. They have strong winds throughout the year.

5) Nimbus: It is a cloud that produces precipitation which reaches the ground as rain, hail, snow or sleet. They can be characterized by their great height
