In a chemical reaction ,two or more reactants can be combined to form a new product.This type of reaction is termed as combination reaction.This type of reactins can also be called as a synthesis reaction.

Two reactants, A and B, combine to form a new product AB. The product of a combination reaction is always a compound. A practical example of combination reaction is the reaction of hydrogen and chlorine to produce hydrogen chloride.
