2. The impure material that present in the ore is said to be Gangue.

3. The element which can be extract easily and gainably from natural compound is said to be Ore.

4. The branch of science that deals with the properties and purification of metals is known as Metallurgy.

5. The process of heating sulphide ore in the presence of air to convert it into metal oxide or metal is called Roasting.

(1)Minerals-Impurities present along with the naturally occurring compounds of metals are called minerals.
(2)Gangue-The impurities is named as gangue present in ores which also contain metal compounds.
(3)Ores-The metals which are extracted from minerals which are easily extracted and with good economy they are called ores.
(4)Metallurgy-The process involved in extraction of metals in good or pure form is called metallurgy.
(5)Roasting-The process in which sulphide ores are heated strongly in excess of air which converts it into oxides is called Roasting.
