Explain the following terms. Polymer, Biodegradable, Cellulose
Answers
A long chain like unit consisting of a large no. of smaller molecule is called polymer.
The substance which get decomposed through natural processes such as bacterial action over a period of time is called biodegradable substances.
A cellulose is a natural polymer which is made naturally.
hope this helps you
*Cellulose:-it is a polymer made from beta glucose molecules and the polymer molecules are straight. cellular service from the cell was in the plants cell .these are us together then cell membrane this is due to arrangement of glucose unit in polymer chain and the hydrogen bonding between neighbouring chains.
*Biodegradable:-Biodegradable waste includes any organic matter in waste which can be broken down into carbon dioxide, water, methane or simple organic molecules by micro-organisms and other living things by composting, aerobic digestion, anaerobic digestion or similar processes
*Polymer:-A polymer is a substance composed of macromolecules.[2] A macromolecule is a molecule of high relative molecular mass, the structure of which essentially comprises the multiple repetition of units derived, actually or conceptually, from molecules of low relative molecular mass.
