(1)inorganic chemistry ,a heteroatom is any atom that is not carbon and hydrogen .usually the time is used to indicate that non carbon atom has replaced carbon in in the backbone of the molecular structure . Typical Hetroatom are Nitrogen, Oxygen ,Sulphur, Phosphorus ,Chlorine ,Bromine Iodine .
(2)A polymer (such as polyethylene) consisting of identical monomers units.
(3)In organic chemistry ,an alkene is an unsaturated hydrocarbon they consist at least carbon- carbon double bond. The words alkene and often used interchangeable .
