(a) Corrosion :- When a metal surface is attacked by air, moisture etc. the metal get corrode. This process is known as Corrosion. Example :- Iron article become red and copper becomes green.
Prevention :- Anodising, Greasing, Painting, Galvanisation etc.
(b) Rancidiy :- When oil containing food is expose to air they get oxidised and their taste and smell become changes. this is known as rancidity.
Prevention :- Store food in moisture proof container.

A) Corrosion is a state when another layer of compound is added on the main metal .
For example, A layer of copper oxide is made on copper when it is exposed to air ( moisture and sulphur )
B) Rancidity is a state when the fatty substances gets oxidised and their smell and taste changes .
For example , If we leave Oily food for some time in heat it gets oxidised and a foul smell arises .It is harmful and not suitable to eat
